What are you doing for Valentine’s Day? Have you made reservations? Ordered flowers? Shopped for jewellery and perfume? Feeling the pressure to pull off a perfect Valentine’s Date? Dreading the disappointment that often follows the big expectations of the night?

Wouldn’t you rather just roll the dice?

We’re not fans of Valentine’s Date Stress. That doesn’t mean we don’t celebrate the day of love – on the contrary – we take advantage of the day to have a romantic adventure together by rolling the dice. By leaving our evening to chance, we refocus on our time together and not the trappings of the holiday.

This year, we have a challenge for you – Un-Plan Your Date!

Here’s the deal. Talk to your loved one. Agree to a spontaneous night of adventure and then plan nothing else. On the night (be it the 14th or whatever night you would normally go out), log on to the Zufall Adventures Facebook page (you’re a fan, right?) to find out the roll of the day. Or, roll your own Zufall dice and see where chance leads you.

It’s a simple idea because romance is actually simple. Two people spending time together having fun and discovering new things. Compare that to sitting elbow to elbow in a crowded restaurant, eating mediocre chocolate out of a heart-shaped box and experiencing that feeling of déjà (boring) vu.

Start by joining the Valentine’s Date by Chance party.

Then, on date night, set your base-value (assign 1 a value like 1 equals one block or one mile).  Next, check the Zufall Adventures Facebook page for the roll of the day. Or, use the Zufall Adventures Mobile App for iPhone or Windows Phone or the Original Zufall Kit to roll the dice. After that, go the direction of the dice for the distance rolled. And then, who knows! That’s the excitement and romance of it all – your date is completely by chance. No destination, no expectations just the two of you seeing where the night leads!

Single people can still have a Valentine’s by Chance – just grab some friends and see where (or to who) the dice lead you!

Be sure to share your date story either in the comments section or on the Valentine’s by Chance wall!
